First, let me thank you, citizens of Winter Springs. It was you who expressed your confidence by electing me to the city commission. Your continued support and constant feedback have been invaluable during my first term. And you have encouraged me to continue as your leader for positive change in Winter Springs. Now with our new City Manager in place, two new fiscally conservative commissioners, and your encouragement, we are embarking on a new direction for our city.

We are enhancing some of Winter Springs’ best qualities while reviewing and taking a close look at our budgets and goals. We are working with the new administration to assure high standards of accountability, communication and transparency within each department.

Please review the record of achievements on the “Issues” tab. You will see how I have worked to create community programs, support local fire departments, and uphold public safety and low crime as high priorities.

During my 2006 campaign, I made a commitment to be available to the citizens of Winter Springs. I have kept that commitment. I've held weekly community coffees and met with dozens of citizens who take their valuable time to stop by and share their concerns and ideas. My cell phone number is public so you can reach me easily. Your openness has enabled me to listen and then reflect my community – you – when making decisions on the dais.

It has been a humbling experience to represent you, the citizens of Winter Springs. If re-elected, I will continue to be available to you, my friends and my neighbors. I will work to be a positive force in these tough times. I will continue to be your voice for solutions and common sense. Together, we can face issues head on and continue on our path of excellence for Winter Springs.
